HEAT WAVE 2011 – NOW we get the importance of trees!

With the sun beating down, I wander to Menards parking lot. Funny thing. ALL the parking spots under the few pathetic locust trees were crammed with cars-all vying for the scant shade, trying desperately to escape the scorching heat of the sun. You see it where ever you go. We need more trees planted, lots of them! In the upper 90’s to low 100’s this entire week- heat index of 110 plus! Rough on people, rough on the landscape too!

Let’s plant more trees.
